Sons of Norway District 5

A Seminar for lodges in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Tennessee.

Zone 6 will be holding a seminar at the University of Notre Dame on Saturday, the 27th of March. This activity is planned to include all of your lodge members, and not just officers. Due to the nature of this event, family members are also very welcome.
 
After meeting at 10:00 AM at the Eck Visitors Center, the group will view a DVD movie that chronicles Notre Dame's tradition and commitment to excellence. Following the movie, there will be a private student-led walking tour of the campus. The tour will give a general historical and social overview of life at Notre Dame. Most tours will include visits to the Grotto, Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Main Building (the Gold Dome), and "Touchdown Jesus." Lunch will be in one of the campus dining halls, at a cost of $11.55 for adults and $5.78 for children. The District will reimburse each attendee $5.00 for lunch. We anticipate that the seminar will be concluded no later then 3:00 PM
 
Not only will this seminar be an opportunity to meet members of other Lodges, make new friends and acquaintances, and learn more about the benefits of membership, but it is also an opportunity to visit a world-famous university and learn about, and experience campus life.
 
We also plan to have our picture taken in front of the Knute Rockne statue.
 
We hope that you and many of your members will plan to come. In a few weeks, we will provide information about the available parking, campus maps, and answers to any questions you may have. At your earliest opportunity, please give us an idea of how many members plan to attend so that suitable arrangements may be made. Also, if you have any questions or suggestions, please contact one of us. This should be a great time together and an opportunity to celebrate winter's end - we hope!

A Seminar for Officers of Vennskap, Nordlyset, Fosselyngen, and Hafrsfjord Lodges.

The Annual Zone 4 Leadership Seminar will be held in Kenosha at Saint John's Lutheran Church, 3833 8th Avenue, on Saturday, February 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The meeting will consist of two speakers and time for officers and other participants to exchange and share ideas. Darlene Arneson will open our meeting with the "Mandt Lodge Vision 2020 Plan." Mary Bennett will bring us up to date with the convention plans. Both will be available at our break-out sessions to share ideas and answer questions.

Also--please bring cookies for Barnebirkie--lots of them! Darlene will have a lot of room in her van for them!! Bring your Leadership Guides and good ideas to share.
